A Brief History:

The Horde Council and Warmongers:
Warmongers: Blacktooth Grin. The Horde Council: Venom, Grunts, Suncrown, Senjin Village People, Thunderlord Clan
These two independent coalitions of RP guilds were some of the first attempts at a coalition of guilds using a common website, neither took off.

The original Dreadhorde:
Blacktooth Grin, Suncrown, Lament of the Highborne, Thunderhoof Clan
Led by the Blacktooth Grin, the first iteration of the Dreadhorde was a collection of Roleplaying guilds that participated in World PVP campaigns. Most of the activity took place during the Shadows Over Khaz Modan,  Fall of Legends, and Battle for the Keep campaigns.

The new Dreadhorde:
Blacktooth Grin, Suncrown, Shadows of Lorderon, Thunderhoof Clan, Thunderlord Clan, Exitium, Warsong Ax Men, Hillsbrad Security, Order of the Ebon Wolf, Aeturnas Trinitas, Grunts, Hillsbrad Security, Dark Clan of Fenris, Crusaders of Thalas. 
The new Dreadhorde was rekindled by Mido, and another central forum was started. Originally the intentions were to have a coalition of RP guilds that enjoyed world PvP together, and one of the ways to be accepted into the new Dreadhorde was to host a world PvP/RP event. Over time, this focus shifted away from guilds that were both PvP and RP, to simply being a group of guilds that were RP, some with PVP focuses on inclination. The Dreadhorde had a few monthly meetings and world PvP events. However, due to the "pre-expansion lull",  the Dreadhorde grew inactive. With lack of moderation and activity on the original forums there has been a migration of Dreadhorde Reps to a new forum.

The Dreadhorde as we know it today, henceforth referred to as ‘DHD’:
The DHD has seen a resurgence with the launch of Cataclysm. It continues to be a coalition of liked minded guilds, focusing on RP/PvP and the betterment of the server. These guilds assist each other in all aspects of the game (PvE included), while focusing primarily on lending assistance in world pvp through the chat channel “DHD”, and coordinating events and storylines involving multiple DHD guilds.

The DHD seeks to promote a healthy RP community on VeCo, by working towards common goals such as World PvP, Rated BG’s, and large scale RP plotlines.

The DHD’s RP position in the Horde has changed with the appointment of Garrosh. DHD serves as Garrosh’s arm in the Eastern Kingdoms, in an effort to provide support outside of the Horde’s primary forces located in Kalimdor.

The DHD is currently involved in the Rise of Legends Campaign.

Membership Requirements:

  • The applicant guild must have been active on the server for at least three months. This requirement can be bypassed if the founding members are well established in the VeCo RP Community.
  • The applicant guild must have at least ten active members. DHD seeks member guilds that are active and can bring opportunities (in the form of events and/or coordination) to rest of the DHD.
  • The applicant guild shall nominate one dedicated DHD rep, who is responsible for attending bi-weekly DHD meetings. They will be considered the voice of the represented guild, and will also be responsible for sharing DHD news and events with the members of their respected guild.
  • The applicant guild must be an active RP guild.

If the applicant guild considers themselves to have met the above requirements, they shall make a post on The Venture Co RP Haven, specifically in the Guild Recruitment section.

Inactive guilds or guilds that have disbanded, will be removed from the DHD. Inactivity pertains to a lack of participation in DHD events; including meetings, events, world pvp, and DHD Rep forum participation.

Membership Application:

The post shall be titled “*Guild Name*: Seeking Membership to DHD”.

The application post shall be structured as follows:

  • RP Backstory of your guild:
  • Why do you seek membership with DHD:
  • What can you bring to DHD:
  • Each applicant guild is required to host one in-game RP event to complete the initiation into the DHD. What is your event, and when will is it scheduled to take place?

 

After the application post is reviewed, a reply will be made to the post acknowledging the initiation event date/time. At the next DHD meeting (RP) following the initiation event, a private vote will be held. Each DHD member guild has one vote. Those who are not present do not get a vote. Those who cast a “No” vote or abstain from voting, must explain their reasoning. A majority “yes” vote will result in the applicant guild’s admittance into the DHD.

Once accepted, the new member guild of DHD will gain access to the DHD chat channel, and their designated guild rep will gain access to a private forum. This forum is only known to DHD representatives, and shall not be spoken about outside of the DHD representative group. If leaks are found, they shall be dealt with. DHD expects all reps to act with loyalty and integrity.

The DHD channel may be used for all coordination between DHD guilds. Please make an attempt to keep it respectful, and keep the conversations relevant to the DHD.
